Our 1st Anniversary

On Friday, July 1st, Patrick and I celebrated our 1st year of marriage.

It can't believe it's been a year already! It's gone by so fast. Sometimes I still have to pinch myself; I can't believe that we're actually living together after 4 years of long distance. I'm so grateful to call this wonderful man my husband!

Since it's a long weekend, you would think we would have a trip planned to celebrate our anniversary...but we've been so busy these past few weeks that it's nice to just stay in the city.

To mark the occasion we went for dinner at Artu, an Italian restaurant in Boston's north end. It's one of our favorites. I order the same meal every time we go....linguine with mussels and calamari in a spicy tomato sauce. It sounds even better in Italian. I crave this dish all the time!

After dinner we went to a cafe across the street for coffee and dessert. We had banana gelato and a chocolate dipped cannoli with ricotta filling. MMM....they were delightful!

To end our low-key, but romantic 1st year anniversary date we went to the greenway, our usual hangout spot after dinner in the north end. What can I say, we're creatures of habit...

It was the perfect end to the perfect evening out with my hubby :)
