O' Canada....how I've missed you

Last weekend we returned from our 10 day trip back home to Canada. We covered a lot of ground: Edmonton and Regina (and one night layover stay in Toronto). We called it our "Mini Cross Canada Tour". We saw a lot of family and friends; most we hadn't seen for a year. We made the most of it! So much so that I need a vacation from our vacation.

So here's a quick breakdown:

In Edmonton: 

We celebrated Francine and Amy's wedding! We were able to see a lot of family in the process too!

Here are some pics we took before the ceremony...

(Because we were both in the bridal party we didn't even touch our digital SLR for the rest of the day)

 We saw the lake behind Pat's parent's house flood...

We crashed Ashley & David's wedding around midnight (the same night as Francine & Amy's) and saw the whole gang. Michelle and I did breakfast at Cora's....it was divine! We had lunch and dinner with someone different each day. I met peeps for coffee and lunch. And I finally got to meet Saje, Karen's baby! But I don't have a picture :(

Our last night in Edmonton we went for dinner at Cactus Club...mmm

Just looking at this makes me want another....right now!

In the middle of the week, it was time to fly to Regina:

And guess who was there waiting for us?
Vanessa and Neeva! We finally got to meet Neeva and I love her to bits! I miss those chubby lil cheeks!

We went for dinner with Pam!! And we got to see her new house and meet her cute little puppy Zoey!

We went for a walk at Wascana Lake with my Mom. This is a must when in Regina!

We had a Meikle (and Henderson) family BBQ! And had the best burgers I've ever tasted....thanks Uncle Mic! I've missed my family so much!! (But I didn't miss those mosquitoes!)

Finally, the day we were supposed to meet up with Kristin and Rae she went into labor! So a couple hours before we flew back to Boston we got to meet lil Tyson! I'm so happy the timing worked out.

Our 10 days back in Canada went by so fast. It was great to see so many people, but I'm sad we still missed some. Let's hope we're back for Christmas this year!

Now off to go watch the fireworks for the 4th! :)
